Today was the kickoff to the establishment of a leather guild for those in northwest Houston Texas, or anyone else wishing to attend who has an interest in learning leather crafting or can help share what they know with others. The meeting included examples of edge braiding and the techniques on how it was accomplished, how to get consistent alphabet stamping on belts with “absolute” no errors, and some issues with the use of different types of dyes and antiques that are readily available.
If you feel you can add to or benefit by these subjects or others, you are invited to attend our next meeting which will be:
When: Saturday August 27 at 10:00 AM.
Where: 3335 FM 1960 W, Houston Tx 77068, 281-377-1244
If you are interested but unable to attend this meeting regularly scheduled meetings will be held at the same location and same time on the last Saturday of every month. All we ask is that you RSVP so we can have a table setup with enough chairs. This is very important because this restaurant is very busy at this time on Saturday but the owner has assured me she wants to accommodate one and all.
If you have any questions please post your questions here or email me directly.
